Apical five chamber echo view
Probe position and acquisition guidance for this echocardiographic view.
Probe position
At the apical impulse, low and lateral on the left chest
Acquire the view
Keep the A4C contact point and tilt the beam anteriorly until the LVOT and aortic valve enter the center.
Optimize the image
Use only enough anterior tilt to open the LVOT; excessive tilt loses chamber length.
Practice in EchoSuite
The interactive lab pairs the probe and mannequin with the corresponding clinical reference cine. Enter Practice to move the probe and follow the view’s acquisition coaching.
